Choose the video quality you need

Vidrop shows the available download options for each YouTube video so you can choose the quality that fits your needs. Whether you want a smaller file for quick offline viewing or a higher-quality version for playback on a larger screen, the selection is handled directly inside the application.

Save YouTube audio as MP3

If you only need the audio, switch to Audio mode and save it as an MP3 file. This is useful for music, podcasts, lectures, interviews, and other YouTube content you want to listen to offline.

Simple step-by-step workflow

Vidrop is built around a straightforward workflow:

1. Copy a YouTube video URL.
2. Paste the URL into Vidrop.
3. Click Analyze.
4. Select Video or Audio.
5. Choose the available quality or format.
6. Select the download folder.
7. Start the download.

The app displays download progress and status information while the file is being processed.

Recent download history

Vidrop keeps a recent download history so you can quickly see files you downloaded previously without having to search through folders manually.

Flexible save location

You can choose where downloaded files are saved and set a preferred download folder for future downloads.

Light and dark themes

Choose between light and dark appearance modes to match your desktop preferences. Your selected settings are remembered for future sessions.

Built-in update support

Vidrop can check for application and download-component updates to help keep the program working smoothly as YouTube changes over time. Users do not need to manually maintain separate download utilities.

Supporter access includes additional convenience features such as automatic download-component updates without requiring a FREE Update Code.

Supporter access is associated with an installation and can be restored when reinstalling Windows or moving to another computer by verifying the email address used when supporting Vidrop.
